Western Maricopa Education Center (West-MEC) is a unique public school district that focuses solely on providing innovative Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs for high school students.

Since its establishment in 2002, the district has distinguished itself as an innovative leader attuned to evolving workforce needs. More than 21,000 students are enrolled in West-MEC CTE programs. West-MEC currently serves 40 high schools in 12 school districts in Maricopa County.

West-MEC provides its students the opportunity to choose from hundreds of career-related courses. These courses empower students to enter the workforce or pursue continuing education. West-MEC students are taught in state-of-the-art facilities and gain essential career skills by learning industry-current curriculum. In addition, students have the ability to earn college credits, industry certification and internship opportunities.
