Rio Salado College online is known as "the college within everyone's reach." Rio Salado was founded in 1978, and is the largest of the 10 Maricopa Community Colleges in terms of headcount. Through Rio Salado, students benefit from online learning, customized programs, collaborative partnerships and accelerated formats.

Instead of offering classes at a traditional campus, Rio Salado brings the college to you by offering courses when and where you need them. Rio Salado offers over 500 online classes, with most starting every Monday, giving you the freedom to take classes anytime and anyplace you choose.

In addition to providing online courses, we offer onsite educational opportunities for employees of our many corporate and government agency partners. Employees become Rio Salado students and earn occupational certificates and credits they can apply toward degrees that fit their career paths.
